Recycled linen paper & plantable seeded greeting cards by Perky Pen

Greeting Cards: Recycled & Plantable

Our cards are printed on UK-sourced recycled linen paper or locally made plantable seeded paper. Once enjoyed, the card can be planted to grow wildflowers, supporting pollinators and leaving behind nothing but beauty.

Posters: Sustainable MDF Frames

Our posters use frames crafted from MDF—a composite made from recycled wood scraps and sawdust. This reduces the demand for new timber while providing a clean, durable finish.

Why Sustainable Gifting Matters

Lower Waste

Plantable cards biodegrade fully; recycled stocks reduce landfill and conserve resources.

Support Biodiversity

Wildflower seeds help pollinators—turning memories into habitats.

Smaller Footprint

MDF frames repurpose wood by-products, cutting demand for virgin materials.

Local Partners

Handmade, locally sourced processes reduce transport miles and build community value.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I plant a seeded card?

Tear the card into small pieces, soak for at least an hour, and place in soil. Cover with 1cm of soil, water gently, and keep moist in a sunny spot. Sprouts usually appear in 7–21 days, depending on the season.

Are your papers recyclable and biodegradable?

Yes. Our recycled linen paper is recyclable; our seeded paper biodegrades naturally when planted.

Where are your materials sourced?

We prioritise UK suppliers, local makers, and certified sources wherever possible to minimise transport impact.
